This research aims to point out the importance of financial technology (fintech) protection laboratories as new incubator environments for entrepreneurial projects, as well as highlighting the reality of these laboratories in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Through our study, we were able to conclude that financial innovation laboratories are a strategic alternative to protecting financial technology in various countries of the world, when its spread in the MENA is in its infancy, as its number was estimated at 10 laboratories at the end of the year 2020 stationed in The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia. In this context, the pioneer laboratories in the region have succeeded in incubating many creative ideas as innovative solutions in the field of the financial industry and put them in the target markets, especially in the Gulf countries.
