The relationship of cultural heritage with tourism and its impact on tourist activity

This study focuses on the importance of cultural heritage with respect to tourism. It attempts to examine the relationship between these two concepts given that cultural heritage is considered an attractive element in terms of tourist activity. Tourism is a means of making cultural heritage known. It assures its importance as a material and moral wealth allowing future generations to discover their civilization and their historical culture.
This study lets us to conclude that cultural heritage as national and human asset cannot be protected only by the establishment of legal mechanisms but rather by its exploration and its functions on tourism so that a complementary relationship is built facilitating a successful tourist activity.
