The new public administration is a modern mechanism for modernizing local administration

Abstract

            The new public management is a modern concept of managing the local public facility in an administrative manner that depends on the effectiveness and efficiency of local administration.It has gradually emerged as a result of some negative practices, such as multiculturalism, which depend mainly on the top-down management organization and structure of the hierarchy, inefficiency, poor public service and other factors, as well as information and communication technology and the importance of the human element in creating value and improving the public service. The new public administration has therefore become a necessity, and a new management model based on certain private sector principles. Algeria has sought to move towards this process by adopting reforms at the local level, but it still faces some challenges .
