This study aims to identify the various international legal rules that constitute the international legal framework for the protection of places of worship during armed conflicts by exposing them to hostile acts, considering that these places are sacred and fall within the cultural property guaranteed by the Hague Convention of 1954 and the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their protocols for protection. These agreements stipulated the determination of punishment through the legal classification of crimes of aggression against them as war crimes and crimes against humanity, as well as determining responsibility for the aggression.
