The importance of research and development as a motor of economic growth: Case study of Malaysia

This research paper aims to highlight the role of R & D in driving economic growth through improving the level of its indicators. Malaysian experience is one of the development models, it reveals the importance that the State attaches to the scientific and technological system in building its economy, which led to the transformation of its economic structure, from economy based mainly on agriculture and laboratory industry to the knowledge economy, this allowed it to achieve a leap in the development of a wide, more marked by the first decade of this century.
