The Algerian legislator through law (23/18), which includes protecting and preserving the lands of the state, has worked to set laws that include a set of administrative and deterrent judicial measures to address the phenomenon of attacking government lands of all kinds and seizing them illegally by establishing structures and buildings on them.
This study aims to highlight the new mechanisms in the field of protecting and maintaining government lands, which includes expanding the list of qualified employees for monitoring, research, investigation and inspection, and to give these employees and government land managers strict powers in the field of protection and preserving those lands, while developing severe penalties for criminals who attack these lands.
