This research paper deals with the legal mechanisms and guarantees that protect the consumer from the risks of imported products under the provisions of Law 09-03 related to consumer protection and the suppression of fraud, highlighting the importance in promoting the material and moral interests of the consumer as he is the weakest party in the consumer contracts cycle, and on the other hand we show the legal provisions established in Double the penalty prescribed for the importer’s violation of the obligations stipulated within the Consumer Protection and Fraud Suppression Law. On the other hand, we show the importance of the administrative control carried out by the agents of control and the suppression of fraud, and the agents of customs services in the detection of economic crimes.
