This article examines cryptocurrencies through a comparative analytical approach between Islamic jurisprudence and Algerian law, aiming to clarify their nature, the Sharia ruling on dealing with them, and the position adopted by the Algerian legislator. It highlights the juristic debate surrounding the legal characterization of cryptocurrencies and the extent to which they may be classified as property or money under Islamic law, in light.
